Abstract

A synthesis of the taxonomic and biological knowledge of the mantispid fauna from the state of Morelos in central Mexico is provided. Nine species (Nolima infensa Navás, Climaciella brunnea (Say), Dicromantispa interrupta (Say), Dicromantispa sayi(Banks), Zeugomantispa minuta (Fabricius), Zeugomantispa virescens (Rambur), Plega banksi Rehn, Plega fratercula Rehn and Plega signata (Hagen)) and one morphospecies (Plega sp. 1 ) in five genera and three subfamilies are herein reported. Species distribution is presented by municipality and physiographic region; five species are recorded for the first time from this state
