New records of ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) for Mexico and the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz

Abstract

With the new records provided in this work, the number of species known for Mexico increases to 934, 64 for the state of Oaxaca and 335 for Veracruz. In addition, the species that are reported for the first time for Mexico present significant expansions in their geographical distribution in the American continent.
