Se presenta una introducciΓ³n acerca de la importancia de los insectos (particularmente los escarabajos del estiΓ©rcol), y del origen e importancia de dos limitaciones mayores para los estudios de biodiversidad: los dΓ©ficits Linneano y Wallaceano.
