Abstract

A new species of oak gall wasp from Mexico is described based on its asexual generation: 饾懎饾拞饾拵饾挅饾挀饾拹饾挃 饾拵饾拪饾拸饾拪饾拵饾挅饾拵 Bravo-Cuautle, Cuesta-Porta & Pujade-Villar n. sp., which induces small galls on the apical buds of 饾懜饾挅饾拞饾挀饾拕饾挅饾挃 饾拡饾拲饾拏饾挅饾拕饾拹饾拪饾拝饾拞饾挃聽(section Quercus). The distributionand biological data of the new species are discussed, and its distinctive morphological characters are illustrated. Finally, the characters that differentiate it from closely related species are presented.
