The status of the carabid section of the Coleoptera Collection of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (CC-UAEH) is presented. This section contains 769 adult specimens represented by 11 subfamilies, 27 tribes, 52 genera, 62 species and 149 morphospecies. The collection contains specimens collected in Costa Rica, El Salvador and mainly in Mexico. There are representatives from 15states of the Mexican Republic, where Hidalgo is the best represented in this collection. First state records are reported for six species and a new locality within the state of Oaxaca for Eurycoleus tredecimpunctatus Chaudori, 1970. The species deposited in this collection represent 78.5 % of the subfamilies present in Mexico, 62.7 % at the tribe level and 29.3 % at the genus level. The list of species andmorphospecies is attached with data on the country and state where they were collected and the number of specimens per taxon.References
