HYMENOPTERA: Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonoidea) of a Quercus forest from Tamaulipas, Mexico

Ichneumonidae es una familia de avispas parasitoides que contribuyen a la regulación de poblaciones de insectos y arañas. En México se han reportado cerca de 1300 especies. Entre marzo 2010 y marzo 2011, se colectaron 919 ichneumónidos en una trampa Malaise, en el bosque de encinos del Rancho Santa Elena, Victoria, Tamaulipas, México. Las subfamilias de Ichneumonidae más abundantes fueron Pimplinae (263 especímenes) y Cryptinae (247) mientras que las más diversas fueron Cryptinae (25 géneros) e Ichneumoninae (17). Los géneros más abundantes fueron Pimpla Fabricius (220 especímenes), Lymeon Förster (65) y Casinaria Holmgren (55), y los más diversos fueron Diapetimorpha Viereck (6 especies) y Centeterus Wesmael (5). Las especies más abundantes fueron Pimpla punicipes (Cresson) (148 especímenes) y Pimpla sanguinipes (Cresson) (51). El género Diaglyptidea Viereck (Cryptinae) es un nuevo registro para México mientras que cuatro géneros y tres especies son nuevos registros para Tamaulipas; considerando el anterior: Aphanistes Förster (Anomaloninae), Ceratophygadeuon Viereck (Cryptinae), Cryptojoppa Kriechbaumer (Ichneumoninae), Corsoncus marianoi Gauld & Bradshaw (Anomaloninae), Diradops mexicana (Cresson) (Banchinae) y Oedemopsis noyesi Gauld (Tryphoninae). Se colectó una nueva especie de Dichrogaster Doumerc (Cryptinae) que no se describe en este trabajo.Downloads
