New species of Phyllophaga Harris (Coleoptera: Melolonthidae; Melolonthinae) from the Mixteca Oaxaqueña, Mexico

Abstract

Phyllophaga (Phyllophaga) etundutejiana n. sp. and P. (P.) huaiandehuana n. sp. are described. Both were collected in suburban farminglocalities surrounded by disturbed oak and pine forests located at 2,350-2,480 m of elevation in Santa Cruz Itundujia, Oaxaca, Mexico. Figuresof diagnostic characters, habitus of males, and comments about differences of the new species with other Mexican species of Phyllophaga areincluded.
