INSECTA: Insectos asociados al fruto del piñón (Jatropha curcas L ) en los municipios de Villaflores y Villa Corzo, Chiapas, México

El presente trabajo se realizó en los municipios de Villaflores y Villa Corzo, Chiapas, México, en donde se muestrearon cinco sitios por cada municipio, con el fin de determinar taxonómicamente los insectos asociadas al fruto del piñón (Jatropha curcas L.). Para la determinación taxonómica de las especies se enviaron especímenes debidamente montados y etiquetados a especialistas de los diferentes grupos. Se colectaron un total de 304 ejemplares pertenecientes a los órdenes Hemiptera y Orthoptera, distribuidas en siete familias, ocho subfamilias, 18 géneros y 24 especies. Las especies más abundantes fueron: Leptoglossus zonatus Dallas, Acanthocephala femorata Fabricius, Mozena lunata Burmeister, Hypselonotus intermedius Distant, Chariesterus moestus Burmeister e Hypselonotus concinnus concinnus Dallas (Hemiptera: Coreidae) con 32, 17, 15, 13, 13 y 10 ejemplares, respectivamente. Sin embargo, las especies colectadas Rhyssocephala rufonotata Stål, Rhyssocephala infuscata Rider (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), Salamancaniella alternata Dallas, Hypselonotus concinnus concinnus Dallas (Hemiptera: Coreidae), Agrosoma placetis Medl., Erythrogonia areolata Signoret (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) y Sphenarium purpurascens Charpentier (Orthoptera: Eumastacidae) representan primeros registros como posibles plagas del fruto del piñón ya que no se encontró información de ellas en la literatura.Downloads
