Phyllophaga santiagozai, a new species from the arid zone of Puebla, Mexico (Coleoptera: Melolonthidae: Melolonthinae)

Phyllophaga (sensu stricto) santiagozai new species is described. This species was collected in xerophilous shrubs located at 1,400-1,900 m of elevation, around Zapotitlán Salinas, in the southeastern of the State of Puebla, Mexico. Figures of the diagnostic characters and brief comments on it relationships with the species groups of Phyllophaga in Mexico are included.References
