𝐴𝑝ℎ𝑦𝑡𝑖𝑠 is an aphelinid with Cosmopolitan distribution, many of its species have been used successfully in the biological control orarmored scales Diapididae and they are the most important natural enemies of several serious pests; 𝐴𝑝ℎ𝑦𝑡𝑖𝑠 species develop exclusivelyas primary ectoparasitoids on such scales. Twenty species of 𝐴𝑝ℎ𝑦𝑡𝑖𝑠 are recorded from Mexico, including short diagnosis, distribution, importance and the key to females of the species; a new species, A. miquihuana Myartseva, is described.Key words: Hymenoptera, Aphelinidae, species, Mexico.References
