Abstract

Se presenta el estudio sobre la fauna de coleópteros Scarabaeoidea necrófagos que habitan los bosques: tropical perennifolio de la Estación de Biología Tropical "los tuxtlas", Veracruz y tropical caducifolio de Puerto Ángel , Oaxaca, México. Empleando la necrotrampa permanente del tipo NTP-80, en Los tuxtlas se obtuvieron muestras durante 1984 y 1985, que capturaron 1,882 ejemplares de Scarabaeidae, que representa a 12 géneros con 16 especies. La principal biomasa corresponde a las especies Coprophanaeus telamon corythus Harold y Deltochilum pseudoparile Paulian.
