A new species of cynipid gallwasps, Odontocynips hansoni n. sp. (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Cynipini), is described from Costa Rica. The gall occurs on Quercus insignis. It is the first record of cynipid gallwasp from Costa Rica and it represents the second known species in this genus. Diagnostic characters, data on distribution, and biology are given. Finally, the validity of the genus Odontocynips is discussed.References
